In conversation House of MISU x Shazé – On creating the Seraph Collection

Sister Summiyya Patni & Mitali Sagar, founders of House of MISU have been long-standing partners with us for close to a decade. Collaborations with the two sisters never fails to inspire, brimming the room with the potential of what our work together can be. We got chatting with the two ladies and here is everything they had to say on their latest jewellery launch – Seraph – with us.

Q1. Ladies, you have always shared a ‘more than’ relationship with jewellery. What makes it this personal to you?

A. Jewellery to us is more than just something you wear. They have the power to inspire emotions in a way that’s personal to the wearer. Layering and mixing special pieces is a great way to express your personality.

Q2. What sparked the idea inspiration of this collection?

A. The Seraph collection was inspired by the transformative emotions that fine jewellery evokes—elegance, confidence, and a sense of elevated beauty. It draws from the idea that jewellery can be more than an accessory; it can uplift and empower its wearer, much like an ethereal presence.

Q3. What are the elements in design that gives it that set-apart detailing?

The pieces in this collection are an amalgamation of our desire to create something which transcends trends but is always relevant in your closet. They have been meticulously designed from each line and curve to stone. The soft curves are met with tipped edges, subtly emulating angel wing-like silhouette that flatters its wearers. We’ve used soft pink, blue, white and rich green stones with some pearl touches so there is something for every occasion and sensibility.

The collection is created keeping in mind the ever-changing moods and tastes of its wearer. They are versatile and timeless in design yet have a presence and can be paired with anything from subtle neutrals to bright jewel tones.

Q 4. How has this collaboration been special?

Our relationship with Shazé goes back about 9 years and this is the second collection we have created with them, the first was called Stellar and its pieces still hold a special spot in our hearts and jewellery boxes. The MISU design aesthetic was perfectly complimented by the expertise and finesse of SHAZE which is a powerhouse of a brand. This collaboration is a great labour of love borne from the hearts and tools of incredibly talented individuals across the board.
